Here, have some more art.

Alright, here’s a bunch more art. These are the five out of the eight protagonists of my little idea I’ve been working on. I actually drew these over a week and a half, the most recent being Thane (the guy with the bandanna, trench coat and cane). Anyway, I’ll be adding three more over this week, so I hope you guys enjoy these for now.

I probably made this post already, but I just doing it again to get the word out.

Alright, so I’ve decided to start doing commissions. Hopefully this is something that won’t overwhelm me.

DETAILS

If you are interested in commissioning me, send me an e-mail at jclfortune@hotmail.com. I can’t do international commissions, so it’ll be in the U.S. only. I’m accepting 3 commissions at a time. That’s as much as I can handle right now, since college is in full swing.

PRICES

There are 3 types of (full color) commissions I’ll be doing:

Bust: A simple head-and-shoulders picture of whatever character you wish. ($5.00)

Torso: An upper picture of whatever character you wish. ($5.50)

Full: A full picture (8 by 11 or larger) of whatever character you wish doing something. ($7.00)

RESTRICTIONS

No yaoi/yuri//sexually-explicit stuff. Pretty self-explanatory. I will, however, draw nudity. Nudity isn’t one of my strong points, so more than likely there’ll be a refund.

CONTACT

Again, my e-mail is jclfortune@hotmail.com. You can also just send me an ask on tumblr. I’ll get started on your commission as soon as I can, since I’m balancing this, a night job, and college schoolwork. I accept payments by PayPal (not sure how it works; if there’s a search thing, put my e-mail in there or ‘Joseph Coburn’.). The commissions will be done traditionally (pencil and paper; my digital skills aren’t really good), so I’ll e-mail you the progress (with the e-mail title being ‘PROGRESS UPDATE’)  I’m making on your commissions so that there’s proof I’m not just stealing your money. Once I’m done, I’ll e-mail the completed commission to you with the title ‘COMPLETED’. If it’s not to your satisfaction, I’ll be more than happy to give you a refund as well as an apology.

In Other News…

I’ve been starting work on my graphic novel idea. Finally settled on a name (The Tamadriel Saga), now I’m just getting the actual plot down on paper. I’ve got a few composition notebooks lying (laying?) around. I’ve just putting down stuff like major players, locales, and brief histories of major continents and such. Getting everything straight in my brain. As for plot, I’ve been doing a raw outline in the form of a play (split into parts, acts within parts, intermissions between acts, and the odd prelude at the start of a part). Once that’s completely done, I’ll start doing dialogue and what have you. During ALL THIS, is character design, environment designs, props, costume design, and research into the backgrounds of stuff in the real world (tvtropes.org is a DOLL for that stuff). To say NOTHING of schoolwork, working at night, and actively trying to lose weight, cholestrol, and become a better person. Yeah.

A lot can happen in 6 months. I aim to come back here and say that ONE of those things listed up there has been satisfactorily completed.

Themes?

I’m thinking about starting doing drawings with a specific theme. Maybe one for each month? Like Female February, Male March, Anatomy April, something like that. Alternatively, just one week per month. What do you guys think?

One of two commissions for a friend. Her D & D character Nyx, a vampiric flame goddess. She hasn’t seen it yet, but I hope she likes it.

Two pictures from my initiative to draw more this year. I tried something new with these (haha yeah, I say that every time, don’t I) that I’m going to stick with. I drew them on paper in pencil first, then went and inked them. Afterwards I erased the pencil lines and scanned them in so I could color them in Sai. You could probably tell, though. I set the scanned images to multiply so I could color the layers underneath them. It was a bit iffy at first, but I got the hang of it. Overall, I like how it turned out.
